Soloss Wordpress Theme Review
February 23, 2008
If you’re looking for a WordPress theme that is sleek, neat, and ad-ready, then look no further. I’ve just found the theme of your dreams.
Soloss is a free WordPress theme which has a blue and white color combination with a really spacious sidebar which can certainly meet your needs. The theme also embodies the web 2.0 style, so if you’re one of the web 2.0 fans out there, you will certainly enjoy this theme.

Let’s go to the details. The very first thing that you can see in the sidebar is a medium-sized RSS button and a message which asks the visitors to subscribe to the feeds. This is a really nice feature since some themes just have the tiny orange button that can’t even be seen. There’s also a space for six 125×125 banners, and guess what, it’s placed above the fold thus you won’t have a hard time looking for advertisers. Just below the space for ads are the following.
-
A box for an “about me” excerpt
-
Tags for your post
-
The almighty search bar
Of course, you can always change these, but I must say that these make the theme look cool. Just below the three things is the sidebar itself. The sidebar is very sleek and eye-catching. The light-blue bullets are really nice as well.
In the post area, well… first, let me tell you that I find it really NICE. You can see that the font used matches the design. The post and link colors add to the web 2.0-ish look as well. Right below each post, you can see a little “promotion bar” or whatever you want to call it which can encourage the readers to e-mail the post, bookmark it, and to leave a comment.
I recommend this theme to people who are into the web 2.0 style and want to make some money by selling private ads. I can say that this is one of the best ad-ready themes out there.
